Terms

Last updated 2026-10-21

These terms cover your use of spoilet.com. Spoilet is in an invite-only beta, so some features described here aren't live yet. Claiming a name or using the site means you agree to them.

Who can use Spoilet

You must be 18 or older to claim a name, run a creator page or send a Spoil.

Claiming a name

Claiming a name is free, and we hold it for 7 days while we send invites. We can decline or take back a name that impersonates someone, uses a brand you don't own, or sits unused.

What's welcome

Spoilet is for creators of every kind. People with strong or unpopular opinions, political ones included, are welcome as long as what they post is legal and stays within the rules below.

What isn't allowed

  • Anything illegal where you or your fans live. Any content that sexualizes or exploits minors is removed and reported.
  • Accounts whose main purpose is sexual or adult content.
  • Threats, harassment, or content that encourages violence against a person or group.
  • Scams, fake fundraisers, or misleading fans about where their money goes.
  • Pretending to be another person or brand.
  • Anything our payment partners prohibit, including Stripe's restricted business list.

Payments and fees

Fans pay through Stripe, and the money goes to the creator's connected Stripe account. Spoilet's fee is 15% of each Spoil by default, and creators can earn a lower rate with a subscription or once they pass a set volume. Fans can choose to add the fee at checkout so the creator receives the full amount. During the beta, payments run in Stripe's test mode and no real money moves.

Refunds

A Spoil is a voluntary gift to a creator. Spoils are non-refundable unless the law requires a refund or the payment wasn't authorized by the cardholder.

Your content

You own what you post. You let Spoilet show it on your page and in previews of your page, such as link previews and story images, so we can run the service.

When we step in

We can remove content, hold payouts when a payment partner requires it, or close a page that breaks these terms. When we can, we'll tell you why.

No guarantees

Spoilet is in beta and provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses that come from using the site.

Changes

We'll update these terms as Spoilet grows and change the date at the top. For a big change, we'll email everyone who has claimed a name.
